I’ve always wanted to make a cosmetic bag that I could use forever — not just something practical, but something that feels emotionally right every time I pick it up. This is that bag for me.

I don’t enjoy hyper-organized makeup bags with too many compartments. To me, they often add clutter, not clarity. What I really want is a pouch that holds everything I need, feels good in my hands, and looks like something I’d want to see every single day.

The fabric is what started it. A deep red Japanese cotton featuring black cats in all sorts of relaxed, playful poses — about seven or eight in total. Every pouch is cut a little differently, but I always make sure there’s at least one full cat on each side. I paired it with an indigo blue woven polka-dot fabric at the bottom. The inside is lined with natural linen — soft, breathable, and beautiful in its own quiet way. The zipper is one of my favorite details: a premium YKK that glides smoothly and closes with a soft click, making the daily routine feel unexpectedly pleasant.

This pouch is roomy enough for makeup, cables, stationery, or anything you want to keep together, without ever feeling bulky. For me, it’s a daily object that offers both function and feeling — something simple, well-made, and a little bit joyful.
